As of today, among the Venetian streets and squares, there is a new item on the menu at Gelato Fantasy: vegan crepes, made with buckwheat flour, and consequently also gluten-free. An option for those wanting a sweet and healthy treat, suitable for different dietary requirements.
A simple and natural batter
Our recipe has been designed so that everyone can enjoy it: no milk, no eggs, only buckwheat flour and plant based ingredients. The end product is a soft, thin crepe with authentic flavour, perfect to enjoy at any time of day.
Gluten and lactose free fillings
Our fillings also follow the same philosophy: all are gluten and lactose-free. We have chosen simple, but natural and tasty combinations, in order to offer variety without complications. Here is our new vegan crepes menu:

• With peanut butter made from roasted and ground peanuts.

Using buckwheat flour was not an arbitrary choice. Besides being gluten-free, it gives a slightly rustic and rich flavour to our crepes, which pairs well with sweet fillings as well as with fresher options. Our goal is to offer a product that is not only suitable for those with intolerances but that also everyone likes.
